Clearspring Japanese Hokkaido Kombu 40g is a dried kelp from the cold, pristine waters off Hokkaido. A cornerstone of Japanese cuisine, it’s the key ingredient for making flavourful dashi stock.
Rich in natural glutamates, Clearspring Japanese Hokkaido Kombu 40g lends deep, rounded umami to soups, stews and sauces. Sustainably harvested and simply dried, it’s a pure, plant-based way to build savoury complexity.
To prepare, soak in water, then bring gently to a simmer and remove before boiling to create a delicate, umami-rich stock. Also excellent when cooked with beans or thinly sliced for salads.
