Steenbergs Arrowroot 60g is a neutral-tasting, gluten-free thickener for glossy sauces, clear glazes and fruit fillings. Easy to disperse and heat-activated, Steenbergs Arrowroot 60g thickens at relatively low temperatures and sets to a smooth, translucent finish.
Because it’s flavourless and works in acidic dishes, it’s ideal for sweet-and-sour sauces, pies and shiny stir-fry glazes. It freezes and thaws better than flour-based thickeners, helping maintain silky texture without cloudiness.
Mix with cold liquid to a slurry, then whisk into hot dishes near the end of cooking and simmer briefly. Perfect for gravies, jellies, stir-fries and dessert sauces.
