Bold Bean Queen Black Beans have a deep, earthy flavour, a slightly nutty finish and a creamy texture beneath their dark skins. They are cooked slowly and packed in a lightly salted bean stock, producing tender beans that absorb spices and sauces while retaining enough structure for salads, bowls and fillings.

Their savoury character works particularly well with smoked paprika, cumin, chilli, lime and coriander. Add them to chilli, birria-inspired dishes, tacos, quesadillas and rice bowls, or combine them with charred corn, avocado and fresh herbs for a lighter meal. They can also be blended into dips, soups and rich black bean sauces.

The cooking liquid can be used to loosen fillings, thicken stews or deepen the colour and flavour of a sauce. With no elaborate seasoning already added, the beans remain flexible across Mexican, Caribbean and everyday plant-based cooking. Six 570g jars provide 3.42kg in total, with around 400g drained beans per jar.
