Calder's Kitchen Spicy Tomato Chutney takes the family's tomato chutney and adds Scotch bonnet chilli for a hotter, more vibrant finish. Chopped tomato and tomato paste form the savoury base, while red pepper, onion, gherkin and cauliflower contribute texture and help build a condiment that works as both chutney and relish.

Scotch bonnet mash makes up 3% of the recipe, bringing clear chilli heat while spirit vinegar and sugar maintain the sweet-tangy balance expected from a traditional chutney. Mustard seed, ginger, paprika, cloves and cinnamon add background spice, giving the sauce greater depth than a simple chilli ketchup.

Pair it with mature cheese and cold meats, spread it into sandwiches and paninis, or use it as a barbecue relish for burgers, sausages and grilled vegetables.
