The recipe contains 50% mandarin juice from concentrate, complemented by natural orange flavouring, Fentimans' fermented ginger root extract and herbal infusions of speedwell and juniper. Fentimans describes each bottle as combining the juice of eight mandarins with the zest of a Seville orange, creating a drink with a bright citrus aroma and a balance of sweet, zesty and subtly bitter notes.
Like Fentimans' wider soft drink range, Orange Jigger is made using the company's distinctive Botanical Brewing process. The botanical base is brewed and infused with ginger over a period of at least seven days before being blended with the other flavour components and carbonated, helping create the layered flavour for which the range is known.
