Fish4ever Azores Tuna Fillets in Organic Olive Oil 150g x3

This three-jar bundle showcases Fish4ever’s Azores skipjack tuna in a format designed for serving as well as cooking. Generous tuna fillets are packed in organic extra virgin olive oil, giving the fish a rich but balanced flavour and a soft, succulent texture.

Fish4ever’s Azores tuna is caught individually by pole and line around the islands. The fish are landed locally and prepared by hand from whole tuna at the brand’s São Jorge cannery partner. Working with whole fish allows the skilled cannery team to select and arrange substantial fillet-style pieces rather than producing a loose or heavily broken texture.

Skipjack tuna accounts for 65% of the recipe, with 34% organic extra virgin olive oil and 1% salt. Although the oil can be drained, it is an integral part of the product and can add flavour to the finished meal. Its smooth olive character works particularly well with lemon, tomatoes, capers, parsley, basil and gently bitter salad leaves.

Per 100g drained, the declared nutrition provides 30g of protein, 4.1g of fat and 156kcal. There is no declared carbohydrate or sugar. Because the nutritional values are stated for the drained tuna, using all of the olive oil in a recipe will alter the final energy and fat content of the meal.

Serve the fillets as part of an antipasti board with bread, olives and grilled peppers, or place them over a tomato and white bean salad. For a warm meal, fold the tuna into cooked pasta after removing the pan from the heat, or serve it alongside roasted vegetables and potatoes. Handling the fillets gently will help preserve their attractive shape.
