Fish4ever Yellowfin Tuna in Water combines firm, substantial tuna with a simple packing medium of spring water and salt. This twelve-tin bundle provides a generous store-cupboard supply for customers who regularly use tuna in salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes and protein-focused meals.

The yellowfin tuna is caught in the Maldives using pole-and-line fishing, a targeted method in which tuna are caught individually rather than swept up in large nets. Fish4ever works with locally based fishing communities and the product is certified under the Fair Trade USA programme, which includes environmental and social requirements alongside a community-managed Fair Trade premium.

Yellowfin has a dense, meaty texture and a clean, savoury flavour. Packing the fish in spring water keeps the recipe straightforward and allows the natural character of the tuna to remain prominent without the additional richness of olive oil. The pieces can be served intact for a more substantial presentation or gently separated with a fork for fillings and mixed dishes.

The recipe contains 75% yellowfin tuna, spring water and salt. Typical nutritional values per 100g provide 109kcal, 26g of protein and 0.5g of fat, with no declared carbohydrate, sugar or saturated fat. Salt is declared at 0.9g per 100g.

For a quick lunch, combine the tuna with chopped celery, sweetcorn, black pepper and mayonnaise, or place it over salad leaves with tomatoes and cucumber. It can also be added to jacket potatoes, wraps, rice bowls, pasta salads and fishcakes. When using it in a warm pasta sauce, add the tuna towards the end of cooking and fold it through gently to retain more of its texture.
