Montezuma’s FitzRoy Dark Chocolate is a bold, high-cocoa chocolate made for those who enjoy a deeper, less sweet flavour. Each bar contains 74% cocoa solids, delivering a rich cocoa character, smooth texture and pleasantly intense finish without the sharper bitterness often associated with very high-percentage dark chocolate.

The simple recipe combines organic cocoa mass, organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter and organic vanilla extract. With no fillings or additional flavourings, the focus remains on the natural taste of the cocoa. The balanced sweetness makes FitzRoy suitable for enjoying piece by piece, serving alongside coffee, or using in baking and desserts where a pronounced chocolate flavour is required.

FitzRoy was Montezuma’s first chocolate bar. Its name references Robert FitzRoy, captain of HMS Beagle during Charles Darwin’s famous voyage, as well as Mount Fitz Roy in Patagonia.

The chocolate is suitable for vegan diets and contains no palm oil. Montezuma’s also states that it is free from gluten, colourings, genetically modified ingredients and preservatives.
