Mooncup Menstrual Cup Size B Before Birth

Mooncup Menstrual Cup Size B is the original reusable menstrual cup made from medical-grade silicone and designed to collect menstrual fluid rather than absorb it. Soft, flexible and reusable, it provides an alternative to disposable tampons and pads and can be cleaned and used again cycle after cycle.

Size B measures approximately 43mm in diameter and 50mm in length, with a capacity of up to 28.8ml to the rim. Mooncup recommends Size B for people aged between 18 and 30 and/or those who have not given birth vaginally. Menstrual flow does not determine which Mooncup size is required, as the sizing is based primarily on age and childbearing history.

To use, the cup is folded and inserted into the vagina, where it sits lower than a tampon and forms a light seal against the vaginal walls. Menstrual fluid is collected inside the cup, which can then be removed, emptied, rinsed and reinserted as required. The stem can be gradually trimmed if necessary to achieve a comfortable fit.

The Mooncup Original is made from platinum-cured medical-grade silicone and contains no latex. With the correct care, a reusable menstrual cup can last for years, helping reduce reliance on single-use period products.

Before first use and between periods, Mooncup recommends thoroughly cleaning the cup by boiling it while fully immersed in water for 5 to 7 minutes or using an appropriate sterilising solution. The Mooncup comes with a reusable organic cotton storage pouch for keeping it protected between cycles.
