Each 5ml serving contains 1.9g of Black Elderberry juice, equivalent to approximately 2.2g of Black Elderberry fruit, together with 55mg of vitamin C and 1.3mg of zinc. Vitamin C and zinc contribute to the normal function of the immune system, while vitamin C also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

The formula uses Black Elderberry, Sambucus nigra, which naturally contains flavonoids including anthocyanins. Sambucol uses a preparation method designed to preserve these naturally occurring compounds within the elderberry juice.
