Steenbergs Organic Southern Fried Chicken Seasoning brings together black pepper, yellow mustard, paprika and chilli with salt to create a warming, mildly spicy flavour. It is an easy way to add classic Southern-style seasoning to homemade chicken wings, drumsticks, tenders and burgers.

Mix the seasoning into flour to create a flavourful coating, stir it into a buttermilk marinade or rub it directly onto chicken before cooking. It also works well with cauliflower, celeriac, tofu and roast vegetables, making it a useful blend for frying, baking, grilling and air-frying.

Directions

Mix two to three teaspoons of seasoning with approximately one cup of flour, then use to coat chicken before cooking. Alternatively, stir the seasoning into buttermilk to prepare a marinade or combine it with a little oil to create a dry-style rub. Ensure poultry is thoroughly cooked before serving.
