Steenbergs Organic Star Anise 18g offers whole, beautifully formed star pods with a sweet, intense liquorice aroma. Versatile in sweet and savoury cooking, Steenbergs Organic Star Anise 18g brings distinctive depth to poached fruits, bakes, broths and braises.
Just one or two stars infuse mulled wine, chai, pho-style stocks or slow-cooked meats with warm, aromatic character. Use sparingly; the flavour is potent and designed to round, not dominate, your dish.
Simmer whole then remove before serving, or grind for baking blends. Store airtight to preserve the essential oils and signature perfume.
