Calder's Kitchen Sillylilli is the boldest interpretation of the family's piccalilli recipe, combining crunchy vegetables with Scotch bonnet, habanero and hot curry seasoning. The flavour has a distinctly Indian-inspired direction, described by the brand as sitting somewhere between lime pickle and mango chutney while retaining the recognisable structure of piccalilli.

Cauliflower, courgette, gherkin, onion and carrot make up 41% of the recipe, so the condiment remains chunky and textural despite the stronger seasoning. A 2% Scotch bonnet mash brings noticeably more chilli than Chillililli, while habanero powder and hot curry provide an additional layer of heat and aromatic spice.

Serve it alongside curries and poppadoms, add it to grilled cheese, burgers or omelettes, or mix it with mayonnaise or Greek-style yoghurt to make a quick spiced sandwich or Coronation-style sauce.
