Fish4ever Azores Tuna Fillets in Spring Water offer a premium alternative to conventional flaked tuna. Generous pieces of skipjack tuna are arranged by hand in glass jars and preserved in volcanic spring water, creating a clean-tasting product with a firm yet tender texture and no added oil.

The skipjack tuna is caught around the Azores using traditional pole-and-line fishing, with tuna taken individually rather than caught in large nets. The fish is landed locally and prepared at Fish4ever’s cannery partner on the island of São Jorge. The cannery works from whole fish, allowing the tuna to be carefully cut and packed as substantial fillet-style pieces.

Each jar contains 70% skipjack tuna, 29.2% spring water and 0.8% salt. The spring water allows the natural savoury flavour of the fish to remain prominent while giving customers the freedom to add their own oil, dressing or seasoning at the point of serving.

Typical nutritional values per 100g drained provide 118kcal, 28g of protein and 0.8g of fat, including 0.25g of saturates. The product contains no declared carbohydrate or sugar and provides 0.8g of salt per 100g drained.

The large fillets are particularly suited to dishes where appearance and texture matter. Lift them carefully from the jar and serve over a tomato, cucumber and herb salad, arrange alongside warm potatoes and green beans or place over toasted sourdough with lemon juice and black pepper.

They can also be divided into generous pieces for rice bowls, couscous, pasta salads and wraps. For warm dishes, add the tuna near the end of preparation and fold it through gently to avoid breaking the fillets down unnecessarily.

This three-jar bundle is a manageable choice for occasional premium-tuna meals, weekend lunches or customers trying the jarred range. The glass jars and aluminium lids are widely recyclable, while cleaned jars may also be reused where suitable.
